Our Annual Report 2017

Our Annual Corporate Report of 2017 is here, a year in which we have launched new fundraising channels and have consolidated the ones that we already had, such as the Social Corporate Platform for those companies that promote the solidarity of all their customers and employees through different kind of campaigns. In fact, 52% of donations of the total funds raised have been through this channel.

Moreover, we have added 25 new companies to our network of “Companies with a cause” of Worldcoo, which has allowed us to  help more than 48,000 people thanks to 122.000 people who have donated. 

In order to internationalize our solutions, 10 Country Managers joined our team: in Italy, France, Eastern Europe, Nordic countries, Brazil, Chile and North America.

But if we review this 2017, we can not forget the launchment our the “Social Round-Up“, our new fundriaing channel for physical commercial establishments that is already established in all Óptica Cottet and Audiology stores.

Today is International Childhood Cancer Day

Each year, there are more than 215,000 new cases childhood cancer. Even so, the good news is that medical research is advancing and scientific advances have made that there will be more medical treatments and the survival increases.

Part of it is thanks to those people who, in a disinterested way, contribute to promote and promote medical research, whether through donations, awareness and dissemination campaigns or volunteering. In that sense, the work carried out by all the companies that facilitate collaboration in these causes with employees and customers of each entity is equally important.

CapturaTicketmaster, for example, this February is collaborating with Unoentrecienmil, a foundation that was born in 2012 with the aim of supporting the research of childhood leukemia in an opportunity to develop innovative projects. Through the money that all the customers of Ticketmaster collect this month, the Foundation will be able to provide a two-year research grant that will allow a medical-scientific team to work continuously in the investigation of childhood leukemia. So far, they have collected almost 2.000€! You can follow the donation process here.

logo-aladinaAlso, Promofarma is currently supporting Aladina Foundation with the aim that the entity can organize different activities that help to liven up the day to day of children with cancer hospitalized.

check-mark-1292787_960_720A recent study (Brands with values: the power of the consmer-citizen), confirms that almost 80% of population prefers brands with more social values, rather than companies with the best price or quality. From some years ago, the increasing products and services and the facility in which people can access to information, has made that there’s a change in consumer’s behaviour.

In front of this scenario, those brands with values have more protagonism than never before. In fact, the results of the studies show that “nearly 60% of people will choose a brand which takes cares of environment, social aspects or their employees”.

There’s a lot of options in order to show our social commitment. In Worldcoo, we offer companies the possibility that their customers employees or society in general can make their own micro-contribution through the brand itself.   • widget_fonstransparent_ENG_verdOnline payment platforms: It’s our most famous channel. eCommerce companies can incorporate our widget in their payment system and invite their customers to add a micro-donation to their purchase in order to collaborate with a social cause. Today, more than 40 eCommerce already have our widget.
  • eBanking: At the same time the users of different banking entities have access to their banking operations, they can make their micro-contribution (also from its own telephone). It is a huge opportunity to take advantage of the moment and donate from any place and time.
  •  Social corporates platforms: Companies promote the social collaboration of all their employees throught different kind of campaigns; for example, the donation of €1 from their salary each month or the launching of emergency campaigns when natural disasters occur.
  • salut_anglesSocial round up: It is our latest lauchment. When we pay with credit card in a comercial establishment, we will have the option to round up our purchase and donate the cents to a social cause. It is a method that already works in countries such as France, Germany or United Kingdom, collecting more than €1M each one.

Children’s camps against cancer

Last Christmas, more than 6.000 customers of PcComponentes donated their social euro in order to 200 hospitalized children can receive the visit of hospital clowns from different entities: Saniclown, AlgaraKlown, PayaSOSpital and PupaClown. You can remember the project HERE.

New challenge

Once again, PcComponentes will collaborate to support children; on this occasion, children who live cancer very closely, because their parents suffer or have suffered from this disease.

They will do so in collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), who organize various activities to provide emotional support and psychological care to the youngest children and their families.

The children’s camps represent a good opportunity to facilitate exchange spaces with other children to see that they are not alone and that there are other children who are going through their same situation

Thanks to the support of PcComponentes, 45 children between 7 and 17 years old who have or have had their father or mother with cancer will spend a few days and leisure, with playful and therapeutic activities, which will allow them to feel understood among other children who live the same situation.
