Education for girls in Fatick (Senegal)

capcelera_ticket

This September, Ticketmaster collaborates with Save the Children

Unfortunately, there are still many countries where girls are forced to leave primary school at an early age to start working as domestic servants and contribute to household income. Senegal is one of these countries.

Although it is one of the most stable West African countries where the survival of children has improved in recent years, but education remains the main concern: less than one in five girls can go to high school, while among adults there are only six literate women for every 10 literate men.

ticket2

37-Save-The-ChildrenIn front of this situation, Save the Children carries out a program with the main aim of contributing to the access and inclusive education of girls in a situation of greater vulnerability.

logo_ticketmasterThis September, Ticketmaster invites their customers to collaborate with the organization to implement this project.  Thanks to the help of all of those who add €1 to their ticket, save the Children will be able to carry out activities adapted to the reality of the Fatick region that will consist of friendly, safe and quality learning environments for girls, promotion of gender-sensitive teaching practices and improvement of teachers’ abilities, including a favorable change in the attitude of teachers, families and communities towards girls’ education.

The purpose

Promote the education of 60 girls between 3 and 10 years old from the region of Fatick (Senegal), where 40% of girls can’t go to school.

Social Round Up to collaborate with Juegaterapia

capcelera

LOGO_POSITIVOSánchez Romero Supermarkets start today a new fundraising campaign through our Social Round Up. On this occasion, the objective is to raise funds so that Juegaterapia will be able to reform the “Hospital Niño Jesús” (Madrid) and make it more attractive to children.

The “Hospital Niño Jesús” in Madrid is one of the oldest one in the location. It is right in front of the Retiro Park, one of the main leisure venues, a place where the locals go to enjoy the green surroundings, to practice different sports or to enjoy cultural or social activities. It is a space which contrast with the Hospital.

logo-juegaterapiaThe idea for the project is born from this contrast between two venues that are physically so close. On the one hand, the hospital where children spend so much time “confined”, and on the other, the park, open, inviting, a place of enjoyment.

The project is intended to transform the look of the Hospital and give it a new look and fill it with light. The Hospital will be refurbished, its hallways and common areas to depict very recognizable landscapes mimicking the nearby Retiro Park. Children will be able to look at birds, trees and flowers with their eyes and their imagination.

While they share a conversation, a leisure time or a walk, older people recover healthy habits such as going for a walk, doing cultural activities and enjoying a good conversation.

logo-maxcolchonThe customers of Maxcolchón have recently started a new challenge for charity in order to collaborate with Solidarios to break the isolation and loneliness of the elderly, avoiding depression and cognitive disorders, recover healthy habits and strengthen the illusion and self-esteem of the elderly.
