New collaboration with Mastercard Chile

The company has habilitated a new fundraising platform through Worldcoo to collaborate with the Cruz Roja Chilena (Red Cross Chile)

In front of COVID-19 situation, Cruz Roja Chilena is carrying out various actions throughout Chile, focused on medical and social assistance and support. Today, for the first time,  Mastercard Chile joins this cause by offering the Worldcoo’s fundraising platform to collaborate with this campaign and by providing half million daily food menus.

The objective is to invite all Mastercard cardholders to support the battle against COVID-19 in a simple, safe and meaningful way through the platform created for the occasion.

All the distributions received will help the organization to ensure the access to food for people at risk of social exclusion from different areas of the Metropolitan Region.

The total amount raised will help to distribute food kits for vulnerable people, such as older adults, with reduced mobility and on the street, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams for health checks and first aid.

Charity Rounding Up in favour of Vicente Ferrer Foundation

bpThis August, the customers of Bonpreu i Esclat Supermarket can round up the total amount of their purchase and donate the cents to Vicente Ferrer Foundation.

fvfMany families of the most poorest comunities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (in the South of India) live in precarious houses that don’t have the minimum living or hygiene conditions. They also don’t have letrines or a space for their personal hygiene, which forces them to do their physical needs outdoors, with very negative consequences on health and safe. The population lives exposed to the inclement weather, from the monsoon rains to the intense heat that punishes the area and forces them to rebuild them permanently as well as the bites of dangerous animals such as snakes and scorpions.

Having a solid home in conditions of hygiene and safety is an essential requirement to achieve good social integration. For this reason, the money raised during August thanks to the Bonpreu i Esclat Charity Rounding Up will be used to build 20 homes in conditions of health and hygiene for the most disadvantaged families in Chandrapalli.

Wala offers the Charity Rounding Up

walaWe are very happy to share with you that from this week, the customers of Wala, sports and casual fashion stores of Unipreus Group, can already round up their ticket and donate few cents to a social cause each time they use their card.  The total amount raised will go to Red Cross Catalonia.

Today, there are many people at risk of social exclusion that are suffering the consequences that the Covid19 pandemic has generate.  The access to food is a basic need that, in front of the social and economic, can being affected, also the hygiene.

crThrough this campaign, the customers of Wala will be able to collaborate to Creu Roja (Red Cross Catalonia) with the purpose of ensure a healthy and balanced nutrition for children.  Thanks to the total amount raised, Creu Roja will be able to help families at risk of vulnerability providing basic needs, such as food, and raise awareness about  healthy nutrition habits to young people and their families.

How to collaborate?

  2. If so, you can push the green button; in the case you don’t want to make a donation, press the red button.

This is the first Charity Rounding Up project that Wala launches in favour of Creu Roja. Through this new tool, the company shows, once again, its strong commitment with the society and with the most vulnerable groups. Unipreus Group counts with more retailers in Lleida, such as Unipreus, Prilow and Smuk, shops that have also implemented the Charity Rounding Up.

Since the irrumption of Covid19, the Bancos de Alimentos have had to actuate quickly to adapt their operative and give a response to the huge food demand of food by social organizations.

The scenario post Covid19 seems to indicate that after the health emergect scenario there will be a social emergency, where many people will have difficulties to guarantee the basic needs.

During this pandemic, we are proud to see how more and more companies are launching emergency campaigns to mitigate the effects of this situation among the most vulnerable people.

Under the claim “Be on the side of vulnerable children”, the organization launches a new fundraising campaign in order that children at risk of social exclusion can continue their participation in the educational programs that the Foundation carries out.

At Worldcoo we have created the online platform https://fundacio-fcbarcelona.worldcoo.com where anyone who wants can make their contributions in an easy and effective way.

The Barça Foundation has supported the most vulnerable children and youth for the last 25 years through sport, games and physical activity to promote social inclusion, access to education, and the prevention of bullying. During the current emergency caused by COVID-19, the Barça Foundation continues working so that no child is left offside. They are adapting their methodologies so that the most vulnerable children can continue participating in their activities from home.

We are happy to share with you that we have announced today our acceptance into Mastercard Start Path, an award-winning program that enables later-stage tech startups to rapidly scale.

Start Path is one of many renowned programs in Mastercard Accelerate, which provides a simple, single entry point to Mastercard’s wide fintech portfolio and access to everything startups need to grow quickly.

As many of yoy know, since some time ago, each year, we celebrate the #GivingTuesday Day, a day dedicated to donate, share and help those who need the most. It is an iniciative that was born as an alternative to the famous Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

In front of the exeptional situation that we are facing, and as a response to the health and social crisis, next May 5 we will celebrate the #GivingTuesdayNow. The purpose of this initiative, which will be celebrate worldwide, is to thank the  collective generosity and encourage philantropy and support for social organizations.

630,000 charity donations against COVID-19

Since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, more than 630,000 charity donations have been made to fight against COVID-19 through the different fundraising channels that Worldcoo offers. It is the case of the Charity Rounding Up, a donation mechanism available for retailers, which enables the option to round up the total amount of the purchase and donate the cents to a social cause, or the Charity Donation Platforms, available for companies who facilitate their customers and partners an online space where they can make a donation. Today, the total amount raised is more than €254,000.

For example, Bonpreu i Esclat Supermarket, Correos or bonÀrea Supermarket customers can round up the final amount of their purchase and donate the remaining cents to IRSI Caixa (in the first two cases) or to the “Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute“. In both cases, the objective is to facilitate the appearance of new treatments that help combat the pandemic.

Some online sales companies, such as Ticketmaster, PromoFarma, PcComponentes, Planeta Huerto or Sprinter, also offer their clients the option of adding a micro-donation to their purchase and collaborate with the Red Cross with the aim of to be able to help the most vulnerable people. So has Nicequest, which in its case supports ISGlobal.

Other companies, such as Banco Sabadell, Glovo and Iberdrola have habilitated their own platforms through Worldcoo so that employees and partners can make a donation to organizations like Save the Children, UNICEF, Aldeas Infantiles SOS and Red Cross.

Micro donations to fight against COVID-19

We are living an unprecedented situation. Today, there are more than 700,000 cases of people infected by COVID-19, 37,000 people have dead and 187 countries are affected.

There are many organizations that are working on finding, as soon as possible, new treatments that help to stop the disease. Others, are focusing on providing support to mitigate the effects of the pandemic among the most vulnerable groups.

Over the last days, our partners have launched different emergency campaigns to raise funds for all these NGOs.  Banco Sabadell, bonÀrea, Bonpreu i Esclat, Correos, Glovo,  Iberdrola, Nicequest, PromoFarma, Sprinter, Ticketmaster… all of them have launched diferent fundraising campaigns to help Aldeas Infantiles SOS, Cruz Roja, Fundació Clínic per la Recerca Biomédica, IsGlobal, IrsiCaixa, Save The Children or UNICEF.

Together, we have already raised more than 191,000 donations!

Today is the International Women’s Day

This month, the customers of Ticketmaster can help women victims of sexual violence

The Democratic Republic of Congo is one of the ten poorest countries in the world. In Goma, the capital of North Kivu, the armed groups, the illegal diamond market and ongoing armed conflict have made this city the most insecure in Africa. Women and children are the most vulnerable group. Currently, Goma is the city with the most cases of rape in the world; every month, 1,152 women are abused.

logo_ticketmasterThrough the “Social Euro” initiative, the customers of Ticketmaster can collaborate, during all month, with the Codespa Foundation to help women victims of sexual violence in Goma.

color-fondo-claro_The organization assists women victims of violence in Goma and facilitates their psycho-affective recovery and socio-economic inclusion in order to have the possibility of having a dignified life again. The integral support that these women and young people will receive is focused on 3 axes: education, so that they can go school and find a job; the sensitization of communities to gender violence to exercise the rights to social denunciation in families and communities. And, finally, the collective empowerment to promote change in the attitudes that perpetuate violence against women in Congolese society.
