Today we are happy to share that Worldcoo registers a minimum of one donation every second; it means, 97,453 donations every day for charity purposes.
The Charity Rounding Up is one of the main fundraising channels that Worldcoo develops. It is an innovative mechanism that enables that every time we use our card as a payment method, we have the option to round up the total amount of the purchase and donate a few cents to charity. Today, Worldcoo’s solution is available in more than 4,500 establishments. Companies such as Bon Preu Group, Correos, muymucho, Eroski, Viena, Caprabo, Condis Supermarkets, Valvi or Wala, among others, already offer this and other solutions from Worldcoo.
Throughout this year, in which Coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact, many of these companies have collaborated with projects led by organizations that are working on finding new treatments that help curb the disease, such as IrsiCaixa, la Fundación Clínic para la Investigación Biomédica or the “Institut de Recerca Germans Trias i Pujol”. Also, others that are focused on giving support to mitigate the effects that this situation generates to the most vulnerable people; it is the case of Save the Children, Aldeas Infantiles SOS, Cruz Roja or Street Child, among others. This year, more than 8,825,000 donations have been made.
Worldcoo collaborates with more than 300 NGOs around the world with the objective of helping entities to found the economic recourse needed to boost their social & environmental projects around the world. In a short term, the purpose of the company is to consolidate the Charity Rounding Up in the main stores of the country. In a mid-term, to implement the fundraising channel in other countries such as Italy, Portugal or Ecuador.
