Worldcoo joins Giving Tuesday Now celebration!

As many of yoy know, since some time ago, each year, we celebrate the #GivingTuesday Day, a day dedicated to donate, share and help those who need the most. It is an iniciative that was born as an alternative to the famous Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

In front of the exeptional situation that we are facing, and as a response to the health and social crisis, next May 5 we will celebrate the #GivingTuesdayNow. The purpose of this initiative, which will be celebrate worldwide, is to thank the  collective generosity and encourage philantropy and support for social organizations.

From Worldcoo, we are very grateful to see that the donations received are continually increasing. Through the coronavirus.worldcoo.com platform, we are grouping all the fundraising campaings that we are launching these days. To date, close to one million donations have aready made for organizations such as UNICEF, Save the Children, Aldeas Infantiles SOS, IGTP, IrsiCaixa or Cruz Roja, among others. We remind you that you can visit the platform to get more information about each project and to make a donation.

630,000 charity donations against COVID-19

Since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, more than 630,000 charity donations have been made to fight against COVID-19 through the different fundraising channels that Worldcoo offers. It is the case of the Charity Rounding Up, a donation mechanism available for retailers, which enables the option to round up the total amount of the purchase and donate the cents to a social cause, or the Charity Donation Platforms, available for companies who facilitate their customers and partners an online space where they can make a donation. Today, the total amount raised is more than €254,000.

For example, Bonpreu i Esclat Supermarket, Correos or bonÀrea Supermarket customers can round up the final amount of their purchase and donate the remaining cents to IRSI Caixa (in the first two cases) or to the “Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute“. In both cases, the objective is to facilitate the appearance of new treatments that help combat the pandemic.

Some online sales companies, such as Ticketmaster, PromoFarma, PcComponentes, Planeta Huerto or Sprinter, also offer their clients the option of adding a micro-donation to their purchase and collaborate with the Red Cross with the aim of to be able to help the most vulnerable people. So has Nicequest, which in its case supports ISGlobal.

Other companies, such as Banco Sabadell, Glovo and Iberdrola have habilitated their own platforms through Worldcoo so that employees and partners can make a donation to organizations like Save the Children, UNICEF, Aldeas Infantiles SOS and Red Cross.
