Charity Rounding Up to collaborate with Save the Children

condisCondis Supermarkets start today a new campaign to help Save the Children to promote the development of children under 6 years old in vulnerable situations.

From now on, the customers of Condis who want, can round up their ticket and donate the cents to a social cause each time they pay with card.

The children’s stage (0-6 years) is one of the main stages of development. In this age range, most of the neurological development of children occurs, and is critical in order to reach the cognitive and neurological bases.

37-Save-The-ChildrenThrough the “Let’s Play Together” program, the organization works to reduce the consequences that poverty causes to children and encourage their integral development.

The program works as a space where families who are in precarious, disruptive situations and who experience important challenges can access them with their children.

Through intervention, children develop cognitive, emotional and relational dynamics, placing them in the center of the intervention, as rights holders.

Thanks to all the funds collected, the organization will be able to provide the necessary material for the development of the activities and 40 children under 6, as well as their families, will be part of these activities.

Charity Rounding Up for AMPANS

LOGO VIENASince some months ago, Viena offers in all their establishments the Charity Rounding Up, a new solution that enables people to make micro-donations for charity each time they pay with card.

The first campaign they collaborated with was dedicated to the research for a future without Alzheimer, together with the Pasqual Maragall Foundation. During the past months, all their customers have had the chance to collaborate with the Gasol Foundation to promote the physical exercise to improve children’s health.

logo_ampansNow, Viena starts a new campaign with the main aim of promote the labor insertion of people with intellectual disabilities, and they will do so with AMPANS Foundation.

The AMPANS Foundation accompanies people with intellectual disabilities of vulnerable situations so that they can develop their life projects, ensuring their rights, offering support and creating opportunities that make it possible.

Having a job makes people live fully, feel useful and contribute to society. In AMPANS, people with intellectual disabilities are helped to obtain and maintain a workplace in standardized environments, but when the incorporation into the world of business is not possible, the foundation creates adapted workplaces, with a wide range of possibilities to find the right place for each person.

One of the labor insertion projects that AMPANS wants to promote is an agro-social tourism project on the Urpina region, in the heart of Catalonia.

Cent to cent, the customers of Viena will collect to promote the agro-social tourism project that AMPANS develops in Urpina (Catalonia). The initiative will provide a workplace for 40 people with special needs in the coming years, and will raise awareness for the socio-labor inclusion of people with disabilities to the more than 20,000 visitors who are expected that will visit the farm.

Condis launches a new campaign to reforest the South of Catalonia

logo-condisLast month, a huge fire affected the South of Catalonia, with more than 5,000 hectares burned. For this reason, Condis Supermarket launches today a new fundraising campaign to help the people affected and respond to the damage that the dire caused to the territory.

Through the Social Round Up, from this week, all the customers of Condis who pay with card have the option to round up the final amount of their purchase and donate the cents to the project leaded by “Rebrotem”.

“Rebrotem”  is the social initiative created by a group of people from the territory and its objective is to dignifying and reducing the damages caused to the peasantry, livestock and the territory of the more than 5,000 hectares affected.

Maxcolchón starts a new fundraising campaign through our charity widget

In Spain, there are more than 8 million people over 65 years old, of which 20% live alone and many of them feel lonely and isolated, a situation that can cause detrimental effects on their physical and mental health.

There’s a lack of economic and human resources to ensure the social coverage of our elders. The subsidies for dependent persons have been cut, which, added to the freezing of pensions and the pharmaceutical copay, have deteriorated their quality of life.

logo-solidariosWith the objective of combat the social exclusion and make life better for people over 65 who feel lonely and isolated, the NGO Solidarios  organizes weekly visits to senior citizens who need someone to spend time with during the week, thus reinforcing their illusion, their self-esteem, their social skills and keeping them active. While they share a conversation, a leisure time or a walk, older people recover healthy habits such as going for a walk, doing cultural activities and enjoying a good conversation.

logo-maxcolchonThe customers of Maxcolchón have recently started a new challenge for charity in order to collaborate with Solidarios to break the isolation and loneliness of the elderly, avoiding depression and cognitive disorders, recover healthy habits and strengthen the illusion and self-esteem of the elderly.

In addition to the contributions made by customers, Maxcolchón collaborates with this project with an own contribution of €2,000.

Thanks to the donations made through Maxcolchón’s clients, 60 elderly people will be able to receive visits at home, thus breaking their loneliness and recovering social relationships.

Comprehensive care for children with neurofibramatosis

bsIn the context of “Actitud Solidaria”, the social initiative promoted by Banco Sabadell in order to  collaborate with different social and cooperation projects, the company launches today a new challenge aimed at, mainly, their employees.

On this occasion, the objective is to collaborate to improve the quality of life of children with neurofibromatosis, a chronic and incurable disease that affects 1 in 3,000 births and causes many difficulties for people who suffer from it.

The total amount raised by the employees of banco Sabadell will go to the Asociación de Afectados de Neurofibromatosis so that the organization can provide children with neurofibromatosis with the tools that need to achieve an improvements in the quality of life, reduce the impact of the disease and its consequences.

On this occasion, we have signed a new agreement with Red Cross Spain: through this agreement, we will help the organization to carry out their projects through our different fundraising solutions.  

During July, the customers of Ticketmaster will have the opportunity to collaborate with Red Cross by adding one euro (or more) to their shopping basket when buying tickets online. The objective is to contribute to this summer children at risk of social exclusion have the opportunities to participate in school camps.

The initiative, that will be carried out by Red Cross Spain, wants to improve the life quality of children through a playful-educational space during the summer holidays.

The new project: promote and support scientific research in the field of child health

Access to drinking water for displaced people in South Sudan

The customers of Promofarma start a new fundraising campaign in order to collaborate with ACNUR/UNHCR.

More than a third of the 12 million citizens of South Sudan are displaced, and more than a half of the population is affected by the crisis in the country.

Promofarma_LOGOThe customers of Promofarma have already raised the necessary funds so that Médicos del Mundo can improve the delivery room facilities in Bolivia and reduce maternal and child mortality in the country (you can remember the project here). Now, they start a new social challenge with the main aim of ensure that displace people from South Sudan have access to drinking water.

Vertic300All the funds collected will go to ACNUR. The political and security situation in the country remains unstable and armed conflicts persist, as well as assassinations, kidnappings, rapes and a general state of anarchy. UNHCR is assisting people who are in a situation of vulnerability due to the ongoing emergency and responding to basic needs.

The organization is working to extend the water supply network, rehabilitating at least 50% of the existing water points and protecting 70% of the water supply facilities.

The main purpose of Promofarma is to raise up to €3,000. With this amount, 500 refugees will benefit from drinking water systems for one year.

¡bonÀrea joins our Social Round Up!

logo_bonareaCoinciding with the Multiple Sclerosis World Day, which takes place today, we’re proud to announce that we have recently signed a new collaboration agreement with bonÀrea.

Starting this week, their customers will have the opportunity to round up the total amount of their purchase and collaborate to support people who have multiple sclerosis, a neurodegenerative disease that affects more than 2,5 million people in the world.

The new mechanism, which is already working in some establishments, will be implemented progressively during June in all bonÀrea supermarkets.

Among others, one of the consequences of people who are diagnosed with this disease, is the progressive loss of abilities to carry out different day-to-day functions on their own, such as dressing or walking.

The full amount raised through the Social Round Up will help people with MS to participate in therapies and neurorehabilitation sessions that help them to reduce the impact of the disease and guarantee their personal autonomy.

The project will be carried out through the different organizations that work for people with Multiple Sclerosis in each region where bonÀrea has establishments, such as the Fundació Esclerosi Múltiple in Catalonia, the Aragonese Foundation of EM, EM Navarra, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation Madrid, the Association of the Valencian Community of EM and the Riojana Association of EM.
