We present you our annual year-end report. A year in which we have received 100% more donations than last year. This increase has been possible thanks to more than 113.000 people who have done their micro donation at the same time they were buying a product or service in one of the e-commerce with cause that we work with.
The funds received have allowed that 41 different NGO will implement more than 50 social projects in 26 different countries. The money will be addressed to 8 different kind of projects, such as the emergency campaigns, which represents a 35% of the projects.
More than 110.0000€ have gone to addressing the needs of refugees crossing the Mediterranean or fleeing from conflicts in Africa and people who have suffered the consequences of natural disasters, like those in Ecuador and Haiti, this means a growth in donations of 190%.
Education projects, the second on the list, have focused on ensuring education for children, young people and women in conflict zones in Asia and Africa. Unlike the previous year, the healthcare projects focused mainly on research and care for sick children in Spain, receiving 334% more donations. On the other hand, most of the food projects went to fighting childhood malnourishment in Africa, mainly, and to helping at-risk families in Spain.
These are our main results of 2016, a year in which we have achieved a capital increase of 2.3 million euros from European and private funds. Moreover, in 2016 we have launched a new raising channel that allows customers and employees of big corporations, to make donations and it has consolidated in the online banking sector. An example is the alliance we signed together with Banco Sabadell. With a team of 12 people – 5 more than the previous year – our goal for this 2017 is to triplicate the number of donations received and implement a new and revolutionary fundraising channel.
