Once again, PcComponentes will collaborate to support children; on this occasion, children who live cancer very closely, because their parents suffer or have suffered from this disease.

They will do so in collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), who organize various activities to provide emotional support and psychological care to the youngest children and their families.

The children’s camps represent a good opportunity to facilitate exchange spaces with other children to see that they are not alone and that there are other children who are going through their same situation

Thanks to the support of PcComponentes, 45 children between 7 and 17 years old who have or have had their father or mother with cancer will spend a few days and leisure, with playful and therapeutic activities, which will allow them to feel understood among other children who live the same situation.

Pc Componentes brings smiles in hospitals this Christmas

Saniclown 2

The customers of PcComponentes have a very special challenge this Christmas: bringing smiles in hospitals.

For the first time, they will do it in collaboration with different NGO: AlgaraklownSaniclownPayaSOSpital Pupaclown.

The objective is to make the hospital stay a more pleasant experience for kids from Madrid, Murcia, País Vasco and Valencia. Their mission is to fill spaces of smiles and generate magical and beautiful moments. The work of the clowns allows to create a more relaxed atmosphere and, thus, doctors and nurses work with greater tranquility and can concentrate on the technical aspects of their actions. The relatives, meanwhile, also respond to the game of clowns and stay more relaxed and calm.

Stop bullying

logo-sprinter-2015-retinaSeptember, good bye holidays, hello routine; start again, new proposals, new challenges, illusions and projects. Sprinter knows it very well. Coinciding with the new scholar year, they have just started a new project with the purpose of ending bullying,  a type of violence that occurs at classroom, with negative effects on physical health,  emotional well-being and performance, especially if this kind of violence is repeated over time or severe.

stc_logoThey will do it together with Save the Children, an organization that offers workshops aimed at children and parents to be prepared in case of these situations and to create spaces for dialogue in which children can share their experiences.

Thought the total amount received, 450 children will assist to comprehensive training to prevent bullying.

This is not the first project in which we collaborate with Sprinter. In the last occasion, all its customers collected funds in order to help the NGO Proactiva Open Arms to distribute 150 emergency kits to refugees.

A summer full of opportunities

jovenes adsis

Continuing socio-educational activity in summer is key to preventing risky behaviour and offering opportunities that normally young people at risk of social exclusion do not have access to.  This is, among other, one of the main priorities of Adsis Foundation and now the customers of PcComponentes will be able to contribute to this same cause.

leadImage_previewAfter collecting the necessary funds in order to CRIS Cancer Foundation could fund a new treatment for a kid with cancer (you can remember the project HERE), the new challenge for PcComponentes will be helping Adsis Foundation to ensure that 250 kids and teenagers between 11 and 18 years old from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Barcelona and Valencia can assist to educational and cultural workshops, sports activities and receive breakfast and snacks during this summer.

These are young people who are in situation of vulnerability and because of economic limitations they do not have access to leisure activities.

Fundación Adsis works to turn situations of inequality into opportunities. During the school year, it offers emotional and educational support to children and adolescents and is also present during the holidays, to continue the work done with the children during the year and void situations of neglect and street and at the same time give young people the opportunity to have a vacation.

For the education of 140 girls

#NewProject

because-im-a-girlOctober 11 is the International Day of the Girl Child; in this context, Nicequest users join the global campaign “Because I am a Girl”, initiative that Plan International launches with the aim of achieve equality for girls and their empowerment through their right to education.

In South Sudan, only a small part of primary school children attend school, and in the case of girls, the number is further reduced by the fact that is traditionally conceived that girls have to marry and have children at an earlier age, so the education is not the priority.

logo_planThis situation is what has led to Plan International to develop an Accelerated Learning Program at private government schools to promote access to schooling for teenagers with kids and girls who are between 12 and 18 years old. That program is aimed to promote education and facilitate the retention of girls in this courses through different initiatives, such as the distribution of hygiene kits among attendees or caring for children in a nursery near the school.

Through the participation of the users of Nicequest, we will be able to help 140 girls to have access to alternative quality education in a safe and socially cohesive environment.
