The schooling of 30 children in Bombay

Dreivip users have finished their last social project! Thanks of that, 90 kids will receive a daily snack in SOS Children’s Villages day care centers. Thank you so much to make it happen!

logo-300x200But time flies, so we have been working in order to find a new challenge where the users of the first online outlet in Spain could show, once again, their solidarity.

In this occasion, we move to India, in Mumbay, where there are 2,4 million children out of school and 1,1 million of them, are child labourers. We will provide preschool and proper nutrition to 30 slum children under 6 years through the NGO Mumbai Smiles.

Building a new rural school in Sierra Leone, the new Nice Quest challenge

In just one week, Nice Quest users have collected the 4.000€  necessaries to help 720 kids under 6 months against severe malnutrition in Chad, where there are more than 370.000 refugees. The project will be leaded by UNHCR, who currently works there to mitigate and prevent food insecurity and malnutrition by proving refugees access to enough nutritional food. You can remember it HERE.

Afther this successful campaign, we present today the new project to solve an new need with the help of Nice Quest users, who will have the chance to show once again their solidarity and collaboration. Here is it!

The new challenge is to fund the construction of a new rural school and and train teachers to provide access to education to 200 children over a period of 3 years.

streetchildIn this ocasion, we will do that with Street Child, who currently works in two of the least developed countries in the world: Sierra Leone and Liberia, where an estimated 500,000 children of primary age do not go to school.

Street Child  helps vulnerable and street-connected children, in rural areas to access education. In Sierra Leone, they will build a new school and train teachers to provide students quality education and reduce rural-urban inequalities in children’s education.

The NiceQuest community has already started to fund the 4.000€ necessaries. If you want, you can follow the proccess HERE.

The power of crowdfunding in the service of humanity

In today’s world, with globalization, we are all affected by the troubles which afflict some parts of the globe whose level of development is extremely low. Indeed, some people don’t have the technology and tools that some countries benefit for decades.

In an effort to give these regions the opportunity to live and not to survive, NGOs began to emerge after the Second World War.

Today, it is the eighth largest economy in the world (1 billion dollars per year). And it continues to grow with globalization. Despite this, NGOs are funded by donations. And apart from the generous donors with astronomical fortunes (CEO, movie star, sport star, etc..), The general public doesn’t have a very important place.

But that will change! Since the advent of the Internet, a new method of financing has emerged: the crowdfunding. The concept is simple, a project is presented on a crowdfunding platform and users can finance it in the variable tiers (sometimes undetermined). The objective is to target small donors. This concept has been proven, for example when the campaign Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election. He then gleaned nearly 700 million dollars.

So what link can be made between the funding and the fight against poverty in the world? Just the fact that crowdfunding is now an intermediary between NGOs and individuals. With Worldcoo, humanitarian projects governed by NGOs are presented to the public to finance from only 5€. Everyone can now give and help impoverished countries to live in a better world.

What is more beautiful at the end of your life to tell you that you leave the world in better shape than you’ve found it?

Help your world, make your contribution by registering on Worldcoo and supporting one or more projects!

Love and appreciate, the Worldcoo team.

iWith.org becomes Worldcoo’s new partner!

iWith.org is a nonprofit organization with the mission of helping NGOs in the Internet use. As well, its expert’s network is able to create and manage all Internet services from professional websites. In an everyday more digital World, be present in Internet is a must for everybody, but more for that organizations who ask for money to make possible cooperation projects. Communication must be the principal tool for these organizations to reach their target, and now it’s impossible to think about communication without having in mind the Internet and the new digital ways of being in touch.

Also, for a cowdfunding project, Internet is the main communication channel so it’s important to know how you can use it. As well, a social community is needed, and to build it, the good use of the Internet tools is a must. Communication objectives have to be identified, actions should be planned, and everything has to be carried out through the web and the social networks. This is why Worldcoo started to work in synergy with iWith.org Foundation.

iWhit.org offers advisory scholarships as a prelude to the development of a good Internet presence. Between the conditions for the granting of these scholarships, the projects submitted in Worldcoo are positively considered.

Internet is Worldcoo’s way of life, and it’s becoming to be also NGO’s way, therefore this synergy with iWith.org gives Worldcoo a huge value.
