check-mark-1292787_960_720A recent study (Brands with values: the power of the consmer-citizen), confirms that almost 80% of population prefers brands with more social values, rather than companies with the best price or quality. From some years ago, the increasing products and services and the facility in which people can access to information, has made that there’s a change in consumer’s behaviour.

In front of this scenario, those brands with values have more protagonism than never before. In fact, the results of the studies show that “nearly 60% of people will choose a brand which takes cares of environment, social aspects or their employees”.

There’s a lot of options in order to show our social commitment. In Worldcoo, we offer companies the possibility that their customers employees or society in general can make their own micro-contribution through the brand itself. To do this, we put within reach of all of them (on and off line businesses, companies and banking entities), different FUNDRAISING CHANNELS:

Canals_captació

  • widget_fonstransparent_ENG_verdOnline payment platforms: It’s our most famous channel. eCommerce companies can incorporate our widget in their payment system and invite their customers to add a micro-donation to their purchase in order to collaborate with a social cause. Today, more than 40 eCommerce already have our widget.
  • eBanking: At the same time the users of different banking entities have access to their banking operations, they can make their micro-contribution (also from its own telephone). It is a huge opportunity to take advantage of the moment and donate from any place and time.
  •  Social corporates platforms: Companies promote the social collaboration of all their employees throught different kind of campaigns; for example, the donation of €1 from their salary each month or the launching of emergency campaigns when natural disasters occur.
  • salut_anglesSocial round up: It is our latest lauchment. When we pay with credit card in a comercial establishment, we will have the option to round up our purchase and donate the cents to a social cause. It is a method that already works in countries such as France, Germany or United Kingdom, collecting more than €1M each one.

5 reasons to involve your team in CSR actions

Social Corporate Responsibility is a question which is being increasingly linked with the essence of the business. Today it is not enough to simply come across as responsible, now you have to be responsible and show it in every action you take.

In this context, the involvement and participation of your team in your company’s CSR strategy becomes essential. Every employer must have a voice inside of the business and feel part of the overall voice of the company.

Why? Because it gives your company gives these benefits:

1. An involved team is a coherent business. At the end of the day, a business is nothing more than the total of people which has been integrated into it. A team which doesn’t share the values that the company defends will find it difficult to represent it whatever the case, which will undermine the image of the company and go against the efforts made regarding CSR.

2. An involved team is a faithful team. If people play a fundamental role in trying to achieve a key objective in the company, getting faithful people to the company is a necessary condition for the positive development of the business. People are one of the most valuable assets of the company and involving them in the company’s strategical decisions makes them feel “at home”.

3. An involved team is a motivated team. Motivation moves mountains. Being able to get the employer to feel part of the business and its challenges gets the team to feel like these challenges are their own, and they will confront them with all of their energy in order to get better results.

4. Sharing goals and values facilitates a better connection between members of the team and, therefore, contributes to the creation of a more pleasant working atmosphere, with more efficient relationships with the people who have integrated into the team.

5. An involved team attracts talent. Working in a business in which the team has a voice and a vote makes working in it a rewarding experience. This involvement grabs the attention of potential new employees as it seems an attractive prospect.

B Corp officially launched in Spain and we didn’t miss it!

200 attendants, 20 companies and thousands of ideas and people with one only proposal: to change the world.

…OK, now tell me, what B Corp means?B_the_Change

Benefit Corporations (B Corps) is a global movement that brings together companies that are redefining the sense of success in business. This is, companies that combine economic profits and the creation of social and environmental goods, with a strong transparency and corporate responsibility commitment. In conclusion, better companies FOR the world.

We got certification to be part of this “community” of more than 1.700 companies from all over the world just a year ago – you can remember it here-.

Yesterday, we had the great honour to be a part of the official B Corp launch in Spain, where we met the founders companies of B Corp – including us! – and the pioneer leaders in supporting this movement.

Companies such as Triodos Bank, Danone, DKV or Ben & Jerry’s participated in the event, hosted by Roots for Sustainability, Ecodes and B Lab Europe. All this, in one great location: The old Estrella Damm factory, a beer brand very famous here in Spain.

Joan Melé, member of the Triodos Bank Advisory Board, was the responsible to inaugurate the event. Then, we had the chance to participate in three different proceedings:

  • Small companies with great purposes.
  • Visionary and committed leaders.
  • B Corp: global impact.

Finally, the event had a very inspirational and challenging closing thanks to Emma Roca, co-founder of iWopi and B Corp ambassador in Spain.

The icing on the cake was that the meeting generated a social impact too because the profits from the event, are going to be donated – by desire of the public and after the funniest voting that we organized- , to the project  promoted by EDUCO, in order to provide food to children and their families in social exclusion.
