The Brazadas de Vida project comes from the initiative of four swimmers of the Club of Swimming Master Madrid, whose challenge will be to cross the Mediterranean Sea between Formentera and Ibiza, swimming without rest for more than six hours.

The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the serious refugee crisis in Europe, the dangerous crossings they face in the Mediterranean and the important work of Proactiva Open Arms.

Proactiva Open Arms is a non-governmental, non-profit organization whose main mission is to rescue people coming to Europe from the sea, fleeing from war, persecution or poverty.

Since its inception, the entity has saved more than 17.000 lives, and continues to struggle so that the numbers of the tragedy are not worse than they already are.

Its mission is to save the lives of people looking for shelter who go to sea in search of a better life, facing all the dangers that this entails.

The sports network Sprinter has decided to support this initiative to demonstrate that through sport you can also help others. To do this, in addition to collaborating with Worldcoo to facilitate donations through its ecommerce, it has financed the challenge of "Brazadas de vida" so that the funds raised go to the NGO 100%. He has also made a communication campaign dedicated to making the project more visible by enabling a space on its website, and will also participate in the "Días de la Marina" family festival in Valencia, where he will have a booth to collect donations for this project.
