ALPE was founded in 2000 to provide care, monitoring and evaluation of individuals with achondroplasia from a global perspective, and provide support and counseling their families.

The center of Gijón is the center of reference in Spain for the treatment of achondroplasia after signing a cooperation agreement with the NT Bioenergetics Medicine Clinic. It is an alternative medicine program focused on various aspects such as nutrition, physiotherapy or rehabilitation and mental development for children with achondroplasia. It is approached from a global perspective, where health, educational and social aspects are considered interrelated, and contemplate a comprehensive view of the individual and interdisciplinary strategies by some of the professionals involved in the issue.


Do pediatric osteopathy and psychomotor development, to improve coordination and prevent pain physiotherapy dysmorphic alterations.

Develop Ozone therapy and aquatic therapy.

Who will benefit?

The activities of this program are planned to stimulate psychomotor development, improve muscle tone, coordination, and the ability to express of 122 children ( 58 boys and 64 girls) and give support to their families.
