Description

Make-A-Wish Spain is an NGO that helps to grant the wishes of seriously ill young children. It has been proven that granting these wishes gives the seriously ill children hope for the future, strength to face the challenges of their illness, and joy from being able to experience one of their wishes.
Through “wishes homework”, short-term goals that the family and the kids are required to complete, the kids engage in a personal experience that contributes to the overall management of their disease. After achieving this goals, the child’s wish will come true.
The medical community has implicated that this process increases effectiveness in overcoming the disease because the family and children are all involved and committed to working together towards an objective that motivates them.

Activities

  • Coordination with the medical community to emerge, restore and enhance the capacity of the wishes.
  • Improved resilience of seriously ill children and their families.
