In day care centers of different Spanish cities, SOS Children's Villages serves families at risk to empower them, help them to properly care for their children and prevent child abandonment, a situation that has worsened because of the socioeconomic crisis in Spain.

The program of the SOS Children's Villages day care center is focused on children, youth and families at risk, exclusion or social vulnerability, with the goal of providing adequate socio-educational, therapeutic or comprehensive intervention, promoting strategies that improve their personal, family and social welfare.

The program is conducted in 15 centers in 10 day care centers of different Spanish autonomous communities.


The activities carried out have an integrated approach:

  • School support
  • Hygiene and health habits (preventive and reproductive health, in the case of young people)
  • Immersion to new technologies such as educational, labor and leisure resource,
  • Access to food
  • Entertainment, leisure and sport, oriented to their social and personal development
  • Labor and social inclusion and school for parents

Who will benefit?

With your help, 90 children receive a daily snack in SOS Children's Villages day care centers.
