People with multiple sclerosis lose the ability to perform the daily living activities on their own such as walking, dressing, eating or talking because of the disease. The objective of this project is to accompany these people and their families in the process of rehabilitation and compensation of the affected functions.
For this, a multidisciplinary and therapeutic space is provided in which people can recover the affected functions through training in different areas or compensate them through the use of technical aids or different technological supports. The activities are carried out in the environment of the neurorehabilitation centres and with the support of a multidisciplinary team. Given that the evolution of multiple sclerosis is unpredictable, and the affectation and functional performance are different and unique for every person, a personalized and exclusive rehabilitation plan is drawn up for each case. The different professionals analyse the situations, plan the therapy and evaluate the results. At the end of the treatment, people see that their initial objectives have been achieved, and they can carry out the tasks they have learned in the centre at home, thus consolidating the learning they have achieved.
- Activities to promote personal autonomy for the patient’s daily living activities through neurorehabilitation sessions.
- Psychological and social support
- Individualized therapeutic plans adapted to the needs of each person.
- Involvement of families in the therapeutic care of the person with MS and handling the disease.
Improve the quality of life of people with multiple sclerosis by slowing down the impact of the disease.
