Selection criteria
To ensure the viability of the collaboration, Worldcoo previously verifies that the entities meet the following requirements. These verifications will be repeated annually if the entity is the beneficiary of a fundraising campaign.
1. That the entity is constituted as a charitable organization and is properly registered with the appropriate body.
2. That all conditions are met in order to be able to issue donation certificates valid for tax deduction.
3. Have a minimum track record since incorporation and ensure that the activity is sustainable in the future.
4. To have an updated and professional web page, to communicate periodically information about its activity and to render annual accounts.
5. Present annual reports, ensuring the principles of transparency in its financial, functional and administrative aspects.
6. Publish information about the Board of Directors or the Board of Trustees. The management team must not have a criminal record.
7. Go through a due diligence process that analyzes the Ultimate Beneficial Owner, Politically Exposed Persons, sanctions, as well as negative information and data sources.
8. Have public contact details on the website, as well as a privacy policy that complies with current regulations.
9. Respect the principles of the United Nations Charter.
10. Not to carry out operations or have counterparties in any of the countries classified as high risk by the European Union.
11. It is recommended to have an annual accounting audit by an independent auditor and to be certified by an external regulatory body such as Fundación Lealtad in Spain or the Fundraising Regulator in the UK.
