After school educational support for childrenItaly
Italy presents high unemployment rates in people under 25 years due, in part, to the fact that many students leave school before finishing their studies.
Teenagers not (engaged) in education, employment or training (NEET) represent the group most at risk in the population. The cases of teenagers and young people that have not completed their studies are the most severe, and in the past few years Italy has detained primacy in the European contest, considering youth unemployment.
This means that even more than 2 millions of teenagers are forced in a limbo between childhood and adulthood, with an incomplete life-project and blocked in the development of their adult identity, resulting in a loss of confidence in theirselves, in the institutions, and feeling like they do not belong in the social contest.
Mission Bambini helps and supports children who are poor, sick, without education or physically or morally abused, to give them the opportunity and hope of a better life.
- After school service to support kids and teens doing their homework through the help of teachers and volunteers.
- Didactic and recreational workshops to improve specific competencies and to promote socialization and Integration.
- Workshops to empower the practical and technical skills of the beneficiaries.
Children and teenagers coming from disadvantaged social backgrounds will be able to receive after school educational support.
To counteract the phenomenon of school leaving through support to day and after-school centres for children and young people coming from disadvantaged social backgrounds.
