Description

The project consists of a wired and enclosed crop to protect the harvest from the animals. First of all, fertilizers will be given in order to nourish the soil and also, a variety of vegetable seeds. Then, they will gather the seeds themselves.
Each crop will be built in a settlement where Fundacio Campaner has previously built a well. Therefore helping the harvest irrigation and providing benefits to people’s nutrition.
Malnutrition and bad hygiene are the main causes of Noma among other diseases. This project also aims to help the agricultural activities of the population.

Qui en bénéficiera ?

The direct beneficiaries of this project aret he women in charge of the crop. Every woman has to sustain around 9 family members, including herself. The indirect beneficiaries are the 200 inhabitants of the settlement.
We have to take into account that the main predisposing factor of Noma is malnutrition. Thanks to this project, the children will benefit from food variety.

Objectifs du projet

  • Give the population of the village a source of aliments and incomes. 
  • End malnutrition and reduce Noma incidence.
  • Empower women and give the village a new source of income to improve their life conditions.
