The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) provides protection and assistance to refugees and displaced population in the world.
In early 2016, the number of people of concern to UNHCR exceeded 60 million worldwide.
In Ethiopia, the African country which hosts more refugees, more than 730.000 people from countries such as Somalia, Eritrea and South Sudan, among others; UNHCR works to ensure the nutritional well-being of 11.323 children under 5 (Sudanese-Southsudanese refugees and other residents) in 4 refugee camps, by providing nutritional products such as therapeutic milk, ReSoMal and RUFT (ready to use treatment) to combat minors malnutrition, moderate and severe, among other actions in coordination with the country's government and authorities at regional and local levels.
- Provision of nutritional products: therapeutic milk, ReSoMal and RUFT.
- Follow-up and nutritional care to children under 6 months with malnutrition cases through the distribution of therapeutic milk F-75 or F-100.

With 4.750 €, 855 infants younger than 6 months will be treated against chronic malnutrition with the distribution of nutritional milk F-75 and F-100 in therapeutic feeding centers located inrefugee camps (two daily doses over one month).

To improve the nutritional status of 11.323 Sudanese-Southsudanese refugee children under 5 years and residents in 4 refugee camps of Ethiopia, and stabilize its morbidity index.
